First renewal is a date, not a vibe

A store console will happily show you a single renewal percentage for a monthly SKU. That number mixes people who paid RM 14.90 on day one with people who are still finishing a free week. In a health review we split them before anyone speaks.
The practical test is simple. Find the first successful charge after the introductory window. If that date is missing, you do not have a first-renewal rate; you have a feeling. Feelings do not belong on page one of a briefing.
Malaysian catalogues often add a second trap: a festive promo week that looks like healthy trial volume. Leave those weeks visible. Averaging them into March is how a publisher retires a SKU that was only ever noisy in April.
